Who We Are

Our Purpose

Our primary purpose is to glorify God’s name and make Him great here at Ole Miss. In line with that, we strive to connect all sisters in our chapter with one another throughout the semester with a multitude of different events focused both on relationship with one another and Christ. We also plan events focused simply on sisterhood; whether that be tailgating in the fall or a Galentines’ event, we always encourage close relationships between all sisters in our chapter.

While we do root everything we do in Scripture and in Christ, we are not intended to be one’s primary source of the Word. We provide sisters with resources to connect to the Christian community here in Oxford through attending church together, attending Bible studies together, starting a Bible study, and/or helping each other plug into the many campus ministries we have available. We are here to support our sisters throughout their college years and beyond, both in their personal lives as well as in their walk with Christ.

Who Can Join Phi Lamb?

Aligning with our purpose, any woman who is enrolled in a college or university with a Phi Lamb chapter is eligible to join. This means that all incoming freshmen, transfers, and even current students are always welcome to join Phi Lamb and go through the new member process. Please see our recruitment page to learn more about our recruitment dates, new member information and FAQs, or our national website for information regarding starting a chapter on your campus.

Requirements to Join and Stay Active

Phi Lamb is a non-Panhellenic sorority, allowing our membership requirements to be focused on adhering to our purpose. Our membership requirements are rooted in growing relationships with Christ and one another. All actives are required to: have or actively be seeking a church home in Oxford, be active in a Bible study, pay membership dues, and have 75% attendance. These requirements were established so that our sisters are able to not only get the most out of their time in Phi Lamb but also nurture their relationships with Christ.

What We Do

Though we are non-Panhellenic, Phi Lamb does have philanthropy we support: WorldVision. We also have a chapter-wide service project once a semester, aimed at supporting our community. Service projects in the past have ranged from the Veteran’s Home to Night to Shine. Please see the philanthropy page to learn more about WorldVision, opportunities to help serve, and our chapter’s role in serving.

Outside of service and philanthropy, we host sisterhood, prayer, seasonal (Galentines, Friendsgiving, etc.), and other events throughout the semester. In line with our purpose, these events are structured in order to grow relationships and friendships throughout the chapter, as well as root one another in Christ. These events are all closed events, meaning they are reserved for only our active and new members. Please see our recruitment page for more information about joining our chapter.
